Job duties: This is advanced clerical work in the case processing area. A clerk in this classification is responsible for: processing filings for the appellate courts; answering and directing phone calls within the Appellate Clerk's Office; and performing related tasks as the Clerk of the Appellate Courts may require. Significant computer usage is involved, as well as contact with the public and attorneys.
Education and experience: Graduation from high school and three years of clerical experience. Course work at an accredited two or four-year college or university may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
Preferred qualifications: At least one year of court clerical or other legal experience. Experience with electronic document filing.
