Job Duties: This position assists Court Services officers in the collection and organization of court records required for the preparation of criminal Presentence Investigation reports. This includes running & interpreting KBI and NCIC background checks, searching for case documentation in statewide court database, requesting criminal conviction documents from other jurisdictions and states, maintaining detailed and organized case files, and professional communication and collaboration with Court Services Officers and other agencies. Additional duties include copying and distribution of files and court documents, data entry, e-filing, scanning, providing coverage for receptionist as needed, and assisting coworkers with clerical duties as needed. Position description and duties are subject to change to meet the needs of the agency and court.
Required education: Graduation from high school or GED, six months experience in clerical office work/computer data entry, exceptional organization and documentation skills, and the ability to become proficient in new technology systems. As this position works with sensitive and confidential records, professional integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality is required.
