What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ophthalmic Assistant position at Kapolei Eye Care?
Ophthalmic Medical Assistant:
Opening for Ophthalmic Medical Assistant for fast paced Ophthalmology Practice in Kapolei.
Job Duties include but not limited to:
- Performing initial patient exams, to include: patient history and vision testing.
- Performs automated and manual testing: Auto-refraction, Humphrey Visual Fields, OCT.
- Has work experience with an EMR System (electronic Medical Records).
- Assist providers with injections, minor surgery, while maintaining practice standards of sterile techniques and infection control.
Qualifications: Knowledge of medical terminology, enthusiastic, positive team player, strong organization and attention to detail, great listening skills. Willing to cross train in various departments. Reliability and ability to multitask is a must.
