MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Possess a Master’s Degree in Nursing from an Accredited Educational Institution, University or College program in the area of expertise or specialty indicated by the position.
- Licensed or registered by a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States in the medical specialty required by the position at the time of appointment.
- A minimum of one consecutive year of professional nursing experience (equivalent to the GS-9 grade level) in addition to one consecutive year as a practicing Nurse Practitioner.
- All HCPs must possess and maintain current course completion documentation for Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) through an American Heart Association approved training program. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support(ACLS) are desired.
- Current unencumbered DEA.
- Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.
- Must follow site-required health screening and immunization requirements.
SPECIAL SKILLS
- Possess sufficient initiative, interpersonal relationship skills and social sensitivity such that he/she can relate constructively to a variety of patients from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Must be proficient in English (reading, writing and spoken word) to effectively communicate with patients, families and fellow health care providers.
- Shall be computer literate as necessary for this position.
