Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. As a Kennel Technician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to our clients and their dogs. Duties:
- Provide daily care for animals including feeding, watering, and exercising (walks or daycare)
- Clean and maintain kennels, cages, and animal living areas (inside and outside)
- Administer medications as directed by management staff (Topical/Oral/Injection)
- Monitor the health and well-being of animals and report any concerns to the management team
- Maintain accurate records of animal medication and food administration
- Assist with dog training activities as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience in pet care, veterinary assistance, or animal care is preferred
- Knowledge of basic animal behavior and handling techniques
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of time
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings
