Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Tax Manager at KatzAbosch in Timonium, MD, with flexibility for remote work. The Tax Manager will be responsible for tax planning, compliance, preparation, and ensuring adherence to tax laws. The role involves managing tax-related processes, providing guidance on tax matters, and overseeing tax compliance for clients.
Qualifications
- Tax Planning, Tax Compliance, and Tax Preparation skills
- Knowledge of Tax Law
- Experience in handling tax matters and compliance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in tax assessments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- CPA or relevant certification is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Descriptions of Duties:
· Corporate tax expertise including multistate (SALT experience would be a plus)
· Review of federal, state, individual, partnership and corporation (both C & S) tax returns
· Tax Planning for high-net-worth individuals, closely held businesses, partnerships and corporations.
· Tax research and preparation of research memorandums
· Participation in direct training of less experienced staff and involvement in tax department sponsored firm wide
tax training seminars.
· Thorough understanding and experience of tax compliance requirements for all types of entities including
corporations (S & C), partnerships, individuals, non-profits and trusts.
· Federal and state government audit representation and conflict resolution
· Supervises staff and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the firm's policies.
· Good communication and organizational skills
· Partnership experience a plus
Salary : $125,000 - $160,000
