Title: Dock Representative
Department: Kawanti Adventures
Reports to: Sales and Service Manager/Dock Supervisor
Job Summary
As a dock representative, it is your utmost responsibility to ensure quality customer service, primarily with guests from cruise ships and all others attending a tour. This responsibility includes diligently answering telephones, assisting all customers and coworkers while providing company product knowledge with effectiveness and efficiency. In addition to product knowledge this position requires knowledge and adherence to company safety procedures and requirements.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where multiple departures can be happening at one time, sometimes from more than one ship, with the ability to understand that daily tour operations and activities are happening continuously from multiple docks.
- Maintain and cultivate a working relationship with cruise lines, other tour operators, transfer companies, and other tour company staff
- Establish warm and friendly relationships with each participant group upon their arrival and departure
- Provide safety briefing to assigned passenger groups regarding their tour
- Communicate to cruise line reps, transfer companies, and tour participants any delays or weather challenges
- Remain in constant cell phone communication with operational sites
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily ship counts, revenue, and other pertinent information
- Work closely with operational sites to coordinate ship counts and allocations for each day
- Ensure accurate, timely settlements and invoicing of all tour products
- Monitor tour quality and report needs for improvement to supervisor
Minimum Requirements
- Must complete the company training
- Must always maintain professional appearance and follow the company uniform policy
- Ability to communicate and work as an effective team member
- Ability to be on time and check communications from site without making guests feel ignored
Physical Abilities Required
- This position may require walking or standing for extended periods of time
- Able to work long hours and irregular shifts in a multifaceted environment
- This position will require you to be in the elements, please dress accordingly
Salary : $26,200 - $33,100
