What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Worker - CT Kitchen 1st shift position at Kayem Foods, Inc. Career Center?
SUMMARY: Responsibilities of this position include
- Stopping production and seeking assistance if there is a problem
- Assembling machinery for startup
- Place, stack, or transport product onto pallets
- Cutting/tying products and / or unloading racks of products
- Insure adequate quantities of product are supplied to fill orders
- Position involves heavy pushing of tree racks at least 50 lbs, and lifting up to 75 to 80 lbs.
- Be willing to be cross trained within department to cover responsibilities if required
- Other duties as assigned
- Visually inspect the product for any non- conforming areas, and set aside any non-conforming products
- Working knowledge of processing equipment operation, processing Specifications, and labeling requirements
