What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Worker/ Muscle Meat 1st shift position at Kayem Foods?
SUMMARY:
Responsible for producing product in a productive manner, delivering quality results.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Visually inspect the product for any non- conforming areas, and set aside any non-conforming products
- Ensure adequate quantities of product are supplied to fill orders
- Maintain working knowledge of processing equipment operation, processing specifications, and labeling requirements
- Ensure clean, sanitary, and safe work practices, tools, and area
- Maintain knowledge of USDA and HACCP requirements
- Flexibility to do all jobs on the line through rotation
- Be willing to be cross trained within department to cover responsibilities if required
- Other duties as assigned/needed
REQUIREMENTS:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions in English
- Have basic mathematical skills• Ability to work on production floor; a wet, cold, and loud environment
- Ability to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds
