- Manage daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory control and storage of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
- Oversee inventory accuracy through regular audits (Internal KBI/JSR Corporate & Private Party) and reconciliation processes, utilizing inventory management software and ERP/WMS (ASCTrac/SAP/Great Plains) systems.
- Ensure compliance with all (JSOX/SOX) regulatory requirements and internal policies related to GMP/non-GMP inventory management and storage.
- Develop and implement best practices for inventory handling, storage, and distribution, focusing on safety and quality across all three North Carolina KBI warehouse sites (PAT/HAM/VEN) and off-site storage locations with 3PL partners.
- Collaborate with finance, planning, production, quality assurance, and procurement teams to forecast inventory needs and manage stock levels effectively.
- Prepare and present reports to management on inventory performance and areas for improvement.
- Lead, train, coach, develop and supervise warehouse personnel, fostering a culture of safety and accountability.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and make informed decisions regarding stock levels, inventory storage strategy, scrapping of expired inventory as well as forecasting expiring inventory and procurement strategies.
- Coordinate with logistics providers for timely shipping and receiving of materials and products.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, and shipments.
- Develop and create standard operating procedures as well as responding to Deviations, CAPA's and Change Controls.
- Material handling and disposition of Hazardous and non-Hazardous materials for following regulated practices for different waste streams.
- Lead Inventory warehouse projects and continuous improvement initiatives that may include cross-functional teams.
- Develop and implement best practices for warehouse operations to enhance efficiency, safety, and accuracy and analyze existing processes to identify opportunities for automation and improvement.
- Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions in inventory supply or warehouse operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Inventory Manager or in a similar role, preferably within pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP software.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and BI tools software.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.
- Certification in inventory management (e.g., APICS, CILT).
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
