What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Day Camp Sports Specialist position at KE Camps?
KE Camps is the leading provider of summer camps for country clubs nationwide. We partner with over 230 private clubs all over the country to implement traditional-style day camps for elementary-aged children. As a Camp Sports Specialist , you will be directly responsible for implementing weekly Sports activities, in coordination with your Camp Director. The role of a Specialist is to teach, participate, build relationships and have fun while ensuring the physical and emotional safety of every child during the provided activity sessions.
Camp Specialist Qualities
- Ability to help children grow in character, experiences and insights
- Ability to guard the health and well-being of campers at all times
- Prior experience working with children
- Ability to successfully plan, prepare for and structure weekly Sports activities
- Training and experience in teaching at least one year in Sports-related programming
- Ability to lead a group of children
- Enthusiastic, Responsible, Dependable, Consistent, Level-Headed, Flexible, and Calm in all situations
- CPR / First Aid Certified OR willing to become certified before the summer begins
Camp Specialist Responsibilities
Our camp is located at Canoe Brook Country Club in Summit, NJ. Camp will run Monday-Thursday from June 16 through August 7 - staff members must be available to work the full camp season. This specialist position has a working schedule of 1-5 hours per week, or can be paired with a more consistent Camp Counselor role.
