What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resource Employee position at Keck School of Medicine?

We are seeking a highly skilled Resource Employee to support the development and implementation of tools and systems for efficient post-award financial tracking and accurate expenditure projections. This short-term role is critical to ensuring fiscal compliance across the over 150 active grant accounts managed by the department of Neuroimaging and Informatics Institute.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement automated financial tracking and reporting tools to monitor post-award spending in real time.
  • Create accurate projection models for grant expenditures to support compliance efforts.
  • Analyze existing financial processes and recommend improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the grants management team to address spending trends and proactively mitigate risks of overspending.
  • Ensure the systems are fully operational and integrated before the upcoming budget cycle.

The hourly rate range for this position is $17.28 - $28.00. Qualifications: Experience in financial management, grant administration, or similar fields. Strong skills in developing automated reporting tools and financial tracking systems. Knowledge of compliance requirements for grant-funded projects. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
