As a Microbiology Analyst, you’ll lead a dedicated team of manufacturing associates, ensuring that each operation is performed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. What you'll do
You'll perform general and moderately technical microbiological duties, including testing in-process samples, raw materials, finished products, and stability samples. Your responsibilities also include extensive environmental monitoring (EM) and meticulous documentation.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Microbiological Testing: Execute techniques for in-process samples and raw materials, including Microbial Support Testing (NAT, Growth Promotion), EM Water Testing, and Microbial Testing for Bioburden and LAL.
- Environmental Monitoring (EM): Conduct EM for facilities, utilities (Pharm Air, Nitrogen), and laboratories. This includes viable air, contact plates, passive air, and total particulate counts.
- Laboratory Support: Assist with essential lab management tasks such as housekeeping, equipment calibration, safety inspections, and shipping samples.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records by reviewing logbooks, initiating lab investigations and deviations, and entering data for trending. You will also review SOPs and ensure all training is up to date.
- Work Schedule Monday - Friday 09:00 am - 05:30 pm.
Qualifications and need-to-know
- Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or Biological Sciences.
- Previous experience with microbiological and environmental monitoring techniques is preferred.
- Prior experience with aseptic techniques is preferred.
- Experience in a Quality Control or cGMP environment is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
