Job Summary

This position is for a full time Armed Residential Security Team Agent. This position is tasked with numerous functions by providing support to a protective security detail in Santa Barbara, CA. This detail operates in a dynamic, multi-faceted, and fast paced environment. Below is an abbreviated list of the functions and responsibilities:

Duties

Duties for this detail include, but are not limited to:

• Ensure a safe and secure environment for principals in all settings
• Maintain a knowledge of baseline principal, property and neighborhood activities
• Monitor property and area activities and conditions via closed-circuit television camera system and physical area checks
• Monitor traditional and social media for potential threats
• Drive or tail principal/s, family member, guests
• Conduct advance work as needed
• Screen and track mail and deliveries
• Monitor the following: ○ Weather and natural disasters○ Traffic○ Public safety incidents and trends○ Neighborhood watch programs○ Local and national current events
• Coordinate with site staff to accomplish common tasks
• Complete daily household tasks and maintenance as requested by principals
• Ensures 24/7 operational readiness through stocking supplies and equipment upkeep
• Operate within parameters established by standard operating procedures and applicable laws
• Coordinate with and support executive protection element of the team

Position Qualifications

● 2-4 years of combined experience in relevant security, military, and/or law enforcement positions

● 1-2 years of residential security experience

● Valid Driver License with clean driving record

● California BSIS Guard Card

● California BSIS Exposed Firearm Permit with 9mm endorsement

● CPR/AED/BLS certification through reputable institution

● Passport

● Prior residential and/or fixed site security experience

● Prior training course/s in residential security or executive protection

● Training in defensive tactics and/or martial arts

● Advanced emergency medical certification - First Responder, EMT or paramedic

● Customer service experience

● Valid California or H.R.218 carry concealed weapons permit

Physical Requirements:

Ability to patrol the property and access areas quickly

Physically able to capture and detain individuals if necessary

Prolonged periods sitting of 5 hours at a desk and monitoring surveillance equipment

•Prolonged periods of standing on your feet without a break 4-5 hours

Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time• Must be able to lift, drag a human up to 200lbs or more, if necessary

Must be able to bend, twist, stoop, crawl

Being able to respond to physical attacks, natural disasters, evacuations• Perform physical activities such as hiking, biking, swimming

Detail Structure

Full time position on a 24/7 detail working the following:

● Day and night shifts (545-1815, 1745-0615)

● Schedule varies, dependent on team needs

● Weekends

● Holidays

● Overtime/additional shifts as needed

● Domestic travel (if desired by the principal/s)

Salary and Benefits

● Base pay rate of $28-$32/per hour depending on experience

● Pay structure per shift includes built-in overtime and double-time in accordance with California and federal laws
