- Teaching one section of IHJRN 130
- Developing syllabi, assignments, and grading consistent with program goals
- Using Writing and Reporting for the Media to guide instruction and skill development
- Engaging students in writing-intensive, hands-on learning
- Holding regular office hours (in person or virtual)
- Master’s degree in journalism, communication, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- Demonstrated teaching ability or relevant professional experience in journalism or media writing
- Commitment to inclusive, student-centered teaching
