Personal Care Aide

Keep It Tight Llc in Manhattan, NY is looking for one personal care aide to join our 6 person strong team. We are located Richmond Hill, Queen. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and hard-working.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to patients in day to day activities
• Basic Wound Care
• Ensure patients receive their proper medication in a timely manner
• Communicate with medical professionals about patients health or issues that may arise
• Prepare and administer meals in accordance with dietary needs
• Assistance with personal care such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Mobility assistance including transferring in and out of bed, using a wheelchair or walker, and accompanying clients on outings.
• Medication management assisting clients with managing their medications, including reminding clients to take their medications, administering medications, and keeping track of medication schedules.
• Meal preparation help clients with meal prep including preparing meals, feeding clients who are unable to feed themselves, and cleaning up after meals.
• Light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, sweeping, and vacuuming.
• Companionship and emotional support to clients, including engaging in activities such as conversation, walks and games.
• Record Keeping of care given, changes in the client's condition, and communicate these updates with their supervisor.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a personal care aide or similar medical field
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to remain empathetic to patient needs
• High attention to detail
• Certifications that may apply
