Aerial Lineman Job Description:
This is a critical support position for a busy utility construction company operating throughout New Mexico. As an Aerial Lineman, daily work will involve maintaining and building overhead and underground infrastructure with fiber optic and copper cable.
Aerial Lineman Responsibilities/Duties:
· Experienced in the following tasks: New Cable Installs, Pole Transfers, Strand Building, Cable Hanging, Lashing Over, Wreck Out, and Make Readies
· Install and repair lines in a variety of environments
· Ability to climb wooded utility poles and perform line work off hooks
· Experienced in Bucket Truck Operation
· Perform manual labor for extended periods, often under adverse climatic conditions
· Analyze job locations for utility lines, permitting, and traffic control in order to complete construction activities without quality defects, safety incidents or any type of property damage
· Complete daily inspections and reporting of maintenance issues on vehicles, trailers and equipment
· Maintains a professional working attitude with co-workers and customers
· Produces quality work that upholds industry standards

Our Company:
We have been in business in New Mexico for nearly 30 years. We perform work for a variety of communications, power, and fiber optic and data/cell providers. We have 7 offices throughout New Mexico and an office in El Paso, TX.
Job Type: Full-time
Hours: Operators/Laborers report to headquarters at 7-8am. Typical day could include an 8-10-hour shift Monday-Friday. On-call rotation is required.
Pay: Based on Experience. Paid Bi-weekly. Hourly employee.
Job Qualifications:
· 3-5 years of Fiber Optic and Copper Cable industry construction, maintenance and testing experience
· Should provide own climbing equipment and basic hand tools
· Must travel up to 4 weeks at a time and able to work within non-structured schedule i.e. long hours, weekends, etc.
· Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, kneel, grasp, push, pull and reach on a frequent basis throughout the day. Must be able to lift-up to 40 pounds on a frequent basis and up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis
· Time management skills
· Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
· CDL Class A license with tanker endorsement preferred
· Valid DOT Medical Card required
