Duties:
- Assist the orthodontist in providing high-quality orthodontic care to patients
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
- Take dental x-rays
- Assist with orthodontic procedures, including placing and removing braces
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and care instructions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
- Collaborate with the orthodontist and other team members to ensure efficient workflow
- Provide exceptional patient care and ensure patient comfort during procedures
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an orthodontic assistant preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of dental terminology
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially when working with pediatric patients
- Ability to assess patient needs and provide appropriate care
