POSITION PURPOSE
This position will ensure that members are promptly and professionally served. In addition, this position is responsible for providing quality service to our members during the loan process for consumer loans. Handles loan requests from members over the phone, online, and branch loan requests. Cross-selling additional products and services is expected. Salesmanship is a key component of this position.
NOTE:This is not a remote position.
NOTE: This position is base pay uncapped commissions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & BASIC DUTIES
- Pulls credit reports, verifies debts, and accurately adds them to the debt ratio.
- Accurately complete loan applications and supporting documents for underwriting.
- Meets loan decision turnaround times.
- Furnishes underwriting with accurate N.A.D.A values.
- Forwards loans to processing with the accurate information needed to close.
- Build loan requests and sell other auxiliary products offered through the Credit Union (i.e., Credit Insurance, GAP, DP).
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
High School Graduate or equivalent.
Required Knowledge:
General knowledge of Credit Union policies and procedures.
Basic understanding of loans, payment processing, and interest rates.
Experience Required:
A minimum of one year experience in Member Service at a full-service financial institution or Contact Center.
Skills/Abilities:
Excellent communication and public relations skills.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Ability to multitask.
Ability to use a personal computer and related software applications including internet browsers, Microsoft Word, and/or Excel.
Solid math skills and bookkeeping abilities.
