Design Drafter

JOB TITLE: Design Drafter

SUMMARY: Duties and responsibilities will include responsible for generating detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings utilizing Solidworks and AutoCAD programs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create and update detailed technical drawings that incorporate project specifications and design ideas from customers, the drafting manager and shop personnel.

• Create and update structural and flat pattern drawings for in-house fabricated parts made from sheet and structural metals.

• Create and update layout drawings that combine purchased equipment and hardware with in-house fabricated parts.

• Resolve design problems that arise in fabrication shop.

• Must be able to adhere to company drawing standards and have a good understanding of document control while creating or revising drawings.

• Must have a strong ability to research and develop details of various components with an eye for spatial and mechanical relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associates degree or CAD Certificate.

• Minimum 1 years working with SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

• Preference given to a candidate with experience drafting in a manufacturing environment.

Must live in or around the Central Florida area.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Experience:

• SolidWorks: 3 years (Required)
• AutoCAD: 3 years (Required)
• Sheet Metal: 1 year (Preferred)
