The Human Resource Coordinator position is an administrative position responsible for providing support, facilitation and coordination ensuring consistent and effective application of company policies, procedures and Human Resource practices. The position is considered to be a “hands-on” coordination and support position with significant breadth and flexibility. This position is based in Des Moines Iowa.

- Prepare unemployment claim documents and send to necessary parties.
- Process invoices.
- Administer employee surveys and create reports from the data to share with stakeholders.
- Timley processing of paperwork related to employee terminations.
- Create and maintain personnel files and form I-9 documentation.
- Conduct various monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Coordinate new employee orientations.
- Coordinate and schedule employee trainings and events including internal communications, system administration, vendor management, and assisting with training system inquiries.
- Manager and employee communication/follow-up as it relates to mandatory processes.
- Oversee entry of employee HR training records into software system, running various reports as needed.
- Enter employee data into the HRIS system, and update as needed.
- Administer Company programs including processing of paperwork associated with various HR policies (flexible work, tuition reimbursement, and longevity program).
- Participate in HR audits, including maintaining and pulling required documentation.
- Complete other office administration duties on a regular and as needed basis.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or other business related field with 0-3 years of experience or Associates degree with 3-5 years of experience; additional related experience may substitute.
- Previous HR administration experience and coordination perferred.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Superior interpersonal communication skills and ability to maintain an extreme level of confidentiality is a must.
- Ability to actively cooperate and interact with all entities of Kemin are essential.
- Highly effective written communications and high attention-to-detail is a must.
- Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Excel is preferred.
- Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize competing demands.
- A high degree of personal motivation, a desire to make an immediate contribution, and possession of a distinct sense of urgency.
- Demonstrated integrity and honesty in all aspects.
