Job Summary: Kendal at Hanover is a Continuing Care Retirement Community and home to 400 residents. This position helps coordinate, schedule, and provide assistance with the day-to-day transportation needs of residents in both our Independent Living and Assisted Living neighborhoods, to medical and non-medical appointments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Schedules transportation to medical appointments for residents using a variety of scheduling systems (e.g. DH Epic EMR, Matrix Care Soneto).
- Regularly communicates appointment dates and times with residents, nurse supervisors, Facilities and clinicians.
- Provides monthly transportation billing sheets to finance.
- Assures courteous service to residents and other passengers by addressing residents' special requests.
- Safely assist clients with assistive devices, such as canes, walkers, and wheelchairs. Proficient using van wheelchair list and securement appliances.
- Handles patient situations over the phone, scheduling appointments and procedures with medical professionals.
- Instructs patients in preparation for specific procedures.
- Provides direct orientation for new staff to the Transportation program policies and practices.
- Provides administrative support to the Home Care department by entering data, scheduling, filing, editing documents, running reports, and providing other technical support as needed.
- Assists Home Care managers with billing, chart review, and non-clinical tasks as delegated.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience
Preferred
- Demonstrated experience in a customer service role, specifically in transportation, dispatch services, or in the medical field.
- Experience working with adults with various abilities.
Licenses & Certifications
