Schedule: M-F; 12P-8:30P
Pay: $17-$19.00/Hr. Experience Based
Position Summary: Responsible for cleaning and servicing assigned areas. Willing to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis as assigned by the Environmental Services Supervisor. Responsible for using carpet cleaner throughout the community to maintain floors.
Essential Functions:
- Carpet cleaning, shampooing, stripping, and waxing floors in the common areas throughout the community and extracting soiled areas on a routine schedule and as needed. Other areas included are the Borden Health Center, the Webster Assisted Living Center, Offices, the main dining room, and the Sunnyside house.
- Assembles materials and supplies from the supply room and transports them to the work area.
- Provides support to the Housekeeping and Laundry Departments when assigned.
- Conducts a security check after-hours of the entire campus prior to the end of the shift and reports any issues to the supervisor.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous cleaning experience in a similar setting is preferred.
- Knowledge and willingness to work with residents; ability to demonstrate considerable judgment and initiative in adapting special programs to suit the needs of residents; ability to secure the cooperation and interest of residents in initiating programs and techniques.
- Must know how to use common housecleaning implements, such as mops, floor waxes, and scouring pads, to keep areas clean and well-serviced. Must know how to care for equipment, how to measure cleaning solutions, and be alert to hazards. Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
