Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $23.25-$29.12/Hr. Experience and Certification Based
Schedule: 7 AM-3:30 PM; Occasional weekends and on-call availability are required.
Position Summary: Performs full-spectrum facilities and maintenance support work across all of Kendal at Lexington at the generalist level. The ability and willingness to perform cross-trade and miscellaneous support work across the entire Facilities team are critical.
Qualifications:
Experience in HVAC service. Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain heating and cooling systems and install parts as needed.
- at least one year of experience as an HVAC technician
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Strong customer service skills
- excellent communication skills, including explaining technical information in layman's terms.
- Ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on HVAC equipment
- Repair or replace defective parts in HVAC systems
- Conduct inspections to ensure proper functioning of HVAC systems
- Follow safety procedures and regulations while working on HVAC systems
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Certification or license in HVAC preferred
- Proven experience as an HVAC technician or similar role
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and components
- Familiarity with schematics and technical drawings
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Skills:
- Proficiency in property maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair
- Knowledge of air conditioning systems and their components
- Experience with equipment repair, including welding and boiling techniques
- Strong understanding of HVAC principles and practices
