CNC Operator - 2nd Shift and 3rd Shift

Tasks:
- Set-up and operate equipment involved in the manufacturing of extrusion dies and related components
- Edit or make minor programming adjustments
- Abide all safety procedures, rules, regulations, and maintain a clean work area
- Operate equipment involved including: CNC Lathes, CNC Mills, (vertical and horizontal) and Precision Grinding equipment
- Conduct inspections and use equipment involved including: dial indicators, micrometers, depth micrometers, and Vernier calipers
- Follow department procedures and schedules
- Install tooling and machine fixtures, select speeds, feeds, machine sequence, and make all necessary machine adjustments
- Obtain quality specifications during set-ups and approve set-ups for other machine operators
- Work from assembly drawings, product or tooling drawings, schedules, route sheets, specifications, and samples
- Identify and report all drawing errors to the supervisor.
- Investigate malfunctions of equipment, make all necessary adjustments as required and/or replace standard defective components
- Perform daily preventative maintenance of equipment checking, oil, lubrication, fluids and coolant levels, as required
- Notify supervisor regarding need for maintenance repair and unresolved difficulties with parts, tooling, and prints
- Perform any manner of operations within the department as required or determined by the supervisor and/or current workload
- All of the above should be accomplished under minimal supervision
Requirements:
- Minimum 2years of experience required in all operations listed above or
- Technical / Vocational education
- Blueprint Reading
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Operators must have a basic understanding of algebra, geometry, and trigonometry
