FLOORING LINE SUPERVISOR Position Type: Hourly Shift: Days Reports to: Flooring Mill Manager General Description: The Flooring Line Supervisor shall promote the culture, standards, values and working environment as outlined by Kennebec Lumber Company’s (KLC) Management team. The Flooring Line Supervisor is responsible to promote safety performance, leading by example, assist in execution of the daily plan, delegating, coordinating and decision making onsite with the support of the Flooring Mill Manager to attain desirable production and efficiency results. Other responsibilities include oversight of machine operation, quality control, sustaining relevant knowledge for each machine center, maintaining professionalism, motivating team members and monitoring production reports to ensure Quality, Safety and Productivity are trending to company standards. Responsibilities: Point of contact for floor staff Oversee set up for machine centers Keep all SOP’s current Lumber Inventory Point of contact for Shipping and receiving of flooring material Production – Production standards and data reporting o Daily summary o Yields o Product distribution o Productivity metrics o Product metrics Quality – Quality process standards o Grade checks, with additional support of Quality Personnel o Manufacturing quality control standards o Shipping and receiving quality control standards Working in Conjunction with the Company Safety Department- Enforcing Policies and procedures including: o Training o Standard safety compliance items: PPE, LOTO, Forklift safety, Fall Protection, Etc. o Accident investigation/Return to work agreement – with support from Administrative Staff o Enforcement of violations Miscellaneous – o Support administrative service needs to Human Resources, Safety, Sales, Training and/or any other organizational needs. o Represent the company in a positive and professional manner at all times All other Duties as Assigned
