Job Description

The position is responsible for monitoring and assisting students while at recess.  

Duties and Responsibilities   

• Oversee outside play and/or activities 
• Monitors student behavior to ensure a safe play environment 
• Report incidents and accidents through established forms and procedures. 
• Provide feedback on student discipline observations to the classroom teacher(s) and/or administrative staff.
• Models nondiscriminatory practices in all activities. 
• Attend and participate in Recess Monitor meetings and training sessions as required. 
• Other duties as required by the Principal. 

Work Environment

• The employee is required to work indoors and outdoors.
• Able to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds

Requirements

• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required

Reports to: Principal/Administrator

Hours: 11:00 am - 1:00 pm (estimated and subject to change)

Rate: $20/hr
