What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Assistant position at Kenneth Schneider Jr DDS II PA?
We are looking for a dynamic Dental Assistant 2 or a Dental Assitant 1 who is hard working and willing to learn. Our office is open Monday - Tuesday 8:00am-5:00, Wednesday - Thursday 7:00-3:00, and Friday 8:00 - 2:00. Summary: Assists the doctor with dental functions as well as the preparation/clean up of treatment areas by performing the following duties.
Essential Tasks include the following but are not limited to:
Prepares work areas: stocking, setting up, breaking down and cleaning/sterilizing as needed, verifying lab cases are checked in and checked out for patients on the schedule, making sure proper tray is set up.
Seats patients and completes the scheduled treatment, as well as provides oral or written pre-operative and post-operative treatment instructions, updating the Practice Management Software with new findings and next recommended treatment.
Take necessary X-rays prescribed by the doctor following the Radiographic Imaging Policy (RIP).
Assists doctor at chairside with four-handed dentistry, a variety of procedures and maintains doctor's work schedule and patient flow between operatories, taking impressions per doctor’s recommendation.
Maintains general dental office equipment including but not limited to the suction system, X-ray processor and all sterilization equipment.
Follows all company policies and procedures paying special attention to patient care and safety.
Non-Essential Tasks include the following but are not limited to:
Provides support to office personnel when primary responsibilities are completed such as setting and confirming appointments and/or filling schedule for all providers to meet their daily goals and checking in with the doctor/Office Manager.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
