What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President, Finance and Accounting position at Kensington International Executive Search?
Our client is a leading multi-site manufacturing operation in the midst of rapid growth.
This position is a newly elevated role to support the CFO and other senior executives across the company. This is a hands-on finance and accounting leader that will oversee both the core accounting team and functions as well ad the FP&A and related activities. This role will prioritize talent development and management, ensure disciplined cost accounting and inventory control, maintain a 3-business-day close, and partner with Operations to drive margin and working-capital performance across multiple plants.

Must have Requirements:
- A minimum of 7-10 years of leadership experience in a finance / accounting leadership role within a multi-site manufacturing company
- A track record of leading, building and developing a high performing team
- Strong experience with standard costing (materials, labor, machine/overhead rates) and governance; ensure standards align with actuals.
- Experience leading variance analysis (PPV, usage, rate/volume, absorption) and partner with Plant Managers to convert insights into actions.
- Experience optimizing ERP usage and master data; lead enhancements/migrations as needed.
- Experience using tools to automate reconciliations, variance dashboards, and standard reports (e.g., Power BI/advanced Excel).
