Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Proctor State and District assessments.
Selects, receives, and organizes books, multimedia, and other materials and equipment.
Suggests appropriate books and multimedia to student's for classroom assignments and personal access.
Assists students and faculty with use of public access catalog.
Demonstrates knowledge of literature and current trends in library / media practice and information technology.
Organize physical space to enable smooth flow. This includes clear signage, adequate space for different activities, and attractive displays.
Establish a culture for investigation and love of literature.
Maintain and extend the library collection in accordance with the school's needs and within budget limitations.
Ability to work Independently.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Responsible for own record keeping.
Qualifications :
Valid MichiganTeaching Certificate - Preferred
Educational technology experience- Preferred
Associates Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college OR Parapro Praxis Assessment Test. - Preferred
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
