Position Summary
The Executive Chef is a key member of the Club’s senior leadership team and is responsible for the overall management of the culinary program. This role ensures the delivery of exceptional dining experiences across all food and beverage outlets, including à la carte dining, banquets, private events, and seasonal offerings. The Executive Chef leads a team of culinary professionals, instills a culture of excellence and hospitality, and maintains the highest standards of food quality, sanitation, and cost control.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute innovative, seasonal menus for multiple dining venues and events.
- Lead, train, and mentor the kitchen staff; maintain a positive and professional work environment.
- Ensure consistency and excellence in food preparation and presentation.
- Manage food purchasing, inventory, and vendor relationships to ensure quality and cost-efficiency.
- Create and manage the culinary budget; monitor food and labor costs to meet financial goals.
- Maintain the highest standards of kitchen cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation (in compliance with all health regulations).
- Collaborate with the Events and F&B team on planning and executing weddings, banquets, and club-hosted functions.
- Stay current on culinary trends and techniques; continuously enhance the member dining experience.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for kitchen operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef in a high-end private club, resort, or fine-dining environment.
- Culinary degree from an accredited institution preferred.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills; ability to inspire and develop culinary staff.
- In-depth knowledge of diverse cuisines, culinary trends, and dietary needs.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and financial acumen.
- Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Certified in ServSafe or equivalent food safety programs.
