What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Administrator position at Keolis America, Inc.?
Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in parts management, preferably in Transit or related fields like automotive, trucking, or fleet maintenance
- High School Diploma or GED and valid driver's license required
- Forklift operation may be necessary; In-house Forklift Training Certification Program must be passed
- Proficiency in general computer database systems, including RTA, Microsoft Office, and various vendor software systems
- Strong inventory management skills and basic mechanical knowledge or ability to learn vehicle parts
- Ability to be self-directed and flexible for a 24/7 operation
- Must be able to lift up to seventy-five (75) pounds and pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.

Key Accountabilities:
- Distribute requested parts to mechanics and manage parts requisition order forms
- Research parts numbers using manufacturer's supply catalogues or computer systems
- Post parts to computerized work orders and ensure labor codes match
- Perform audits of parts and materials
- Participate in warranty recovery processes
- Order parts and materials from various vendor networks and negotiate better pricing
- Assign part numbers on work orders and oversee the organization of parts locations
- Conduct annual and periodic inventory counts and provide information to the Parts Supervisor
- Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of parts supply bins, including labeling bins accurately
- Support boxing and shipping activities as needed
- Evaluate procurement strategies with the director of procurement for cost-effective practices.
