Mental Health Practitioner Responsibilities:
- provides direct care services to support a safe and supportive environment.
- provide an adult client with education, skill building services, rehabilitative mental health services, functional assessments, level of care assessments, and treatment plans under supervision of mental health professional.
- responsible for maintaining the safety and welfare of program residents during assigned shift.
Additionally, the MHP may:
- provides crisis interventions as necessary, case management/coordination services as directed in treatment plan and by mental health professional
- maintain documentation in electronic medical record notes
- implement daily rehabilitation interventions
- facilitate structure of the program,
- provide support to residents, facilitate medication administration,
- maintain compliance to policy and procedures and
- participate in clinical supervision and required training.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Has a Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field, or an associate's degree plus 2000 hours supervised experience in the delivery of mental health services
- Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and reliable vehicle
- Must be able to pass a Department of Human Services Background check
We're seeking a Mental Health Technician to support our growing organization. A Mental Health Technician is responsible for providing treatment programs and support to patients in the comfort of their own home. The right candidate will be capable of working in a fast-paced environment, using their knowledge of psychiatry to assess patients and create individualized treatment programs and support plans. A successful Mental Health Technician will be detail oriented and able to work independently, using organizational skills to manage their schedule and prioritize tasks on a daily basis.
Responsibilities:
- Care for patients with chronic mental illness.
- Provide home health care to patients in their homes or in shelters.
- Refer patients to community resources for support.
- Be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment.
