SUMMARY
The primary purpose of this job is to coordinate the delivery, restock and inventory verifications of material requirements to ensure timely receipt of internally produced and vendor purchased materials. Responsible for contributing to and maintaining a Plan For Every Part (PFEP). Manages physical tasks for sustainability of Kewaunee’s materials replenishment systems for improved customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
· Maintain computer tracking system to monitor inventory levels and determine shortages.
· Conduct cycle count inventory, and audits.
· Help develop processes that strive to eliminate waste including excess and obsolete parts.
· Notify Manager and production of shortages or other problems that could impact manufacturing.
· Instruct manufacturing staff on proper procedures for locating and utilizing production inventory.
· Plans, organizes, and monitors storage of new materials to ensure a smooth and consistent process to satisfy both internal and external customer requirements.
· Lead material replenishment duties including signals, basic supply strategy decisions and material pull systems.
· Lead lean material flow and inventory management initiatives in a proactive manner.
· Help create methods and SOP’s to achieve effective and efficient movement of materials and finished goods while maintaining minimum inventory investment.
· Participate in problem solving (PDCA & 8D), safety, quality, cost reduction, process improvement teams.
· Operation of material transport equipment. (crane, forklift, box truck, etc.).

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
2 years related experience; High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMPUTER SKILLS To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft - Word, Excel, and Outlook and experience with an ERP system is helpful.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
· Good communication skills to interact with others.
· Understands manufacturing process, flow and lean principles.
· Monitors and ensures quality of work.
· Self-directed and sense of ownership.
· Inventory and product control experience preferred.
· Attention to detail and follows direction.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as: technical manuals, specifications, safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to accurately write routine reports and correspondence clearly, informatively, and error free (edits work for spelling and grammar). Presents numerical data effectively. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Strong analytical and logic skills with the ability to maintain a high degree of precision in detailed work. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as linear dimensions in fractions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to gather and analyze information skillfully and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Demonstrates the ability to suggest solutions to problems as they arrive and incorporate suggestions by others into the submittal drawings.
