Among the programs and services, we provide are Outpatient Mental Health Centers, Adult and Child Psychiatric Rehabilitation Programs, School-Based Therapy, Community Outreach, and Residential Services.Who We Need : We are currently looking for a full-time Rehab Counselor to join our Aberdeen, Dundalk and Catonsville Community Outreach PRP team.What We Need : Someone who has either experience or education related to the population with whom they shall work and an eagerness to grow in the field.Someone who has some knowledge of the DSM and relevant symptoms of the most common mental health diagnosisSomeone who can demonstrate proficiency in assessments, treatment planning, advocacy skills and case management skills.Someone who can demonstrate the ability to express themselves well through writing, interpersonal and oral communication skills.Someone who has an understanding and sensitivity to serving culturally diverse and / or special needs population while maintaining patient confidentially.Key Responsibilities Include : Conduct and document onsite and offsite psychoeducational groups.Responsible for teaching community skills including ADLs as needed.Ensure timely and accurate completion of all documentation such as treatment plans and progress notes. Staff are responsible for teaching community skills including ADLs as needed.Safely transport clients to and from the program and offsite activities.Responsible for the comprehensive services offered through on-site and off-site programs. This includes assessment, case management, psycho education, crisis intervention, advocacy, and community liaison.Must drive 15 passenger vans.What You Need : Bachelor's degree or AA with equivalent experience preferred (one to one year exchange.)
