Relationship Manager Job Description

The Relationship Manager is a critical role at Key Private Bank, responsible for serving high net worth clients and developing strategies to meet their financial goals.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary client advisor, recommending banking, borrowing, and investment solutions tailored to individual client needs.
  • Lead and coordinate the extended advisory team, including trust, investment, and planning strategists, based on the complexity of each relationship.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of client needs by reviewing and analyzing personal and business financial data.
  • Capture client goals in a financial plan and present personalized solutions through consultative reviews and regular contact.
  • Meet or exceed assigned individual sales goals by expanding existing client relationships, closing referrals, and capturing new business growth.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent work experience (required).
  • 7 years of demonstrated sales and business development experience with proven results (required).
  • FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or 63 & 65) certifications preferred.

Tactical Skills:

  • Build trust by taking a proactive client-centric approach.
  • Demonstrated expert functional knowledge of investments, trust, and credit.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Collaboration: Support a culture of collaboration and implement methods for people to come together to make decisions, solve problems, and develop products/service.
  • Critical Thinking: Evaluate past performance for future insights, assess and validate options, and predict their impact.
  • Emotional Intelligence: Identify non-verbal emotional indicators in others and mitigate their negative impact.
  • Influence: Demonstrate the ability to influence decision makers through collaborative assessments.
  • Persuasion: Use message tailoring and probing questions to garner support from various stakeholders.

Physical Demands:

  • General Office: Prolonged sitting, frequent use of PC/laptop, occasional lifting/pushing/pulling of backpacks or computer bags up to 10 lbs.
  • Travel: Occasional travel, including overnight stays, and ability to routinely operate a motor vehicle with a valid driver's license.

Compensation and Benefits:

This position is eligible for a base salary ranging from $112,000.00 to $210,000.00 annually, depending on location and job-related factors.
