Mill Operator

Position Overview : Primary duties to include the manufacturing of livestock feed and all related paperwork. Additional duties to include loading/unloading trucks, customer service, grounds and equipment maintenance, warehouse maintenance, and other related feed production duties, forklift operation and grain handling. Â

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Must be able to work independently and efficiently with little or no supervision. Â

• Assist other mill employees with operating activities. Â

• Operate scales for inbound and outbound trucks.

• Performing basic preventative maintenance, including housekeeping items.

• Understanding the feed ingredients and proper handling techniques. Â

• Accurately distribute feed directly to a feed truck. Â

• Operate equipment safely. Â

• Consistently follow all laws, regulations, and safety rules. Â

• Properly complete necessary paperwork and records. Â

• Assist with other duties as assigned. Â

Skills and Qualifications : Â

• Computer skills and ability to learn new software. Â

• Have an understanding of safe working conditions and operations of vehicles. Â

• Be willing and able to work well with others, to take and give constructive criticism, and to lend a helping hand. Â

• Ability to use analytical techniques for problem solving, coordination, and decision making. Â

• Mechanical interest and aptitude are beneficial. Â

• Driven, organized, and punctual. Â

• Must be team oriented. Â

• Possess great attention to detail. Â

Educations and Experience : Â

• High School Diploma. Â

• Agriculture background a plus.
