Description
Essential functions and responsibilities:
· Pursue payment on accounts by contacting select customers either by telephone or email
· Communicate throughout the day with Credit team members on account status and any on-going issues
· Maintain log of collection efforts; schedule follow-up communication with customers
· Run aging sheet weekly and provide Credit Manager a monthly report outlining status and effort
· Process credit applications by collecting all necessary documents for Credit Manager review
· Discuss sales term issues with Sale department management
· Exercise authority on early pay and any other discounts
· Communicate with Credit Manager about strategy, options and opinions; prepare recommendations for increasing or decreasing credit limits based on customer payment history
· Research accounts for customers
· Maintain regular job attendance; days of work are Monday—Friday; 8-hr. workday schedule

· Physical demands: While performing the duties of the job, the incumbent is required to talk and hear and is primarily sedentary. Constant use of both hands/arms in reaching/handling/grasping/fingering while keyboarding, using phone, calculator or any other office equipment, filing and performing other administrative duties. Employee will occasionally stand and walk; minimal occasion to lift and/or move objects up to 20-25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision and ability to focus.

Requirements
· High school diploma or a state-approved high school equivalency diploma
· Demonstrated accounting and/or credit work experience
· Experience in using Microsoft Office Suite or related software in work settings
Qualifications desired:
· Any post high school accounting courses
· 2 years experience in collections and/or work in a credit department
· SAP experience
