About BAY-SL:

The Bay Area Youth Soccer League (BAY-SL), operated by Kickstart, is a community-based league bringing together Muslim schools through structured competition, skill development, and Islamic values. Coaches are at the heart of our mission, helping young athletes improve their game, grow as individuals, and experience the joy of soccer in a positive, disciplined environment.

Role Overview:

We are seeking dedicated and passionate Youth Soccer Coaches for a 7-8 week contract season, working with students at their assigned schools. Coaches will lead practices, support game days, and foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and character development.

Season & Schedule:

• Anticipated Season Dates: March 30th – May 16th
• Practice: Monday–Thursday (1 hr 15 min per session, not including setup)

Example split:

• Mon/Wed: U6 Co-Ed, U8 Boys, U8 Girls
• Tue/Thu: U10 Boys, U10 Girls

• Game Day: Saturday (all teams coached by assigned coach)
• Support: Coaches will have 1–2 volunteers or other coaches assisting during practices
• Curriculum & equipment provided

Responsibilities:

• Lead practices and game-day coaching for assigned teams
• Follow structured curriculum and development-focused sessions
• Ensure player safety, engagement, and skill development
• Set up and manage equipment
• Communicate with league organizers and collaborate with volunteers

Preferred Qualifications:

• Coaching experience preferred; licensed coaches a plus
• Muslim coaches strongly encouraged
• Reliable, professional, and passionate about youth development
