Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a strong understanding of food and beverage offerings. As a Server, you will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and drinks, and ensuring that each guest has a memorable experience.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly manner, providing them with menus and information about daily specials.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using the POS system.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation meets restaurant standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and operating the cash register.
- Buss tables efficiently to maintain cleanliness in the dining area.
- Comply with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness in all areas of service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and communicate any special requests or dietary restrictions from guests.
- Assist in training new staff members on service protocols and restaurant policies as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or as a Server is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and experience using POS systems such as OpenTable is a plus.
- Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting.
- A passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn about menu items and beverage pairings.
