Part-Time Pediatric Billing Specialist
Kids Central Pediatrics – Oak Ridge, TN

Salary: $20-$23 per hour (commensurate with experience and certifications)

Kids Central Pediatrics is a trusted, family-focused pediatric practice proudly serving the Oak Ridge, Knoxville and Lenoir City communities. Our mission is to provide compassionate, high-quality care for children from infancy through adolescence. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Part-Time Pediatric Billing Specialist to join our administrative team and help ensure accurate and efficient billing operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and submit insurance claims accurately and promptly
- Post payments, reconcile patient accounts, and manage billing reports
- Follow up on unpaid, denied, or rejected claims; handle appeals and corrections
- Communicate with insurance companies and patients about billing inquiries
- Maintain compliance with payer requirements, coding standards, and HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with providers and staff to ensure proper coding and documentation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or certification in Medical Billing/Coding preferred)
- 2 years of medical billing experience, preferred
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and insurance claim processes
- Experience with EHR and billing software, Experience with Office Practicum EMR a plus
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
