- Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities
- Provide support to students with special needs, including individualized attention and assistance
- Help maintain a safe and positive learning environment for all students
- Assist with classroom management, including behavior management and discipline
- Support students during transitions and daily routines
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to assess student progress
- Assist with preparing materials and resources for lessons and activities
- Supervise students during recess, lunch, and other non-instructional times
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students in a classroom or childcare setting
- Knowledge of childhood development and age-appropriate teaching strategies
- Familiarity with special education practices and accommodations
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting student learning and development
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of individual students and the classroom as a whole
