What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Camp Counselor position at Kids Spot?
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and ensure the safety of campers at all times
- Help lead age-appropriate activities and games (already planned)
-Follow lesson plan given to you
- Create a positive and inclusive environment for campers
- Assist with mealtime routines and ensure campers are following proper hygiene practices
- Provide guidance and support to campers during daily activities
- Collaborate with other camp staff and group leaders during transitions
- Maintain accurate records of camper attendance, behavior, and any incidents that occur
- Attend field trips and supervisor children appropriately
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in education or related field is a plus
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred, but can be obtained prior to employment
- Ability to pass a background check
Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
