What are the responsibilities and job description for the Opener position at Kids World Learning Center?
CURRENTLY STAFFING FOR OPENING SHIFT and SUBSTITUTE TEAM SUPPORT MEMBER
We are seeking Child Care Workers that can work morning shift from 6:30 am to 10:30 am Monday - Friday. We are also looking for Child Care Workers that would be able to work on an as needed basis to cover for other staff that need time off.
Required Experience**
- Child Care Workers must be at least 21 years of age and possess at least a high school diploma or GED and one (1) year of experience with children and families or an Associate’s degree or higher in a behavioral or social science field.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
- Must have no criminal history record convictions of misdemeanor or felony offenses from any state.
- Must be able to relate to and work well with children and adults.
- Must possess organizational skills.
- Must be able to work under pressure and handle responsibilities independent of supervision.
- Must be able to remain calm and respond quickly in emergency and/or crisis situations.
- Must provide appropriate role model behavior for children
Responsibilities
- Monitors daily activities of children and ensures accurate and complete records.
- Supervises and assists children daily, ensuring safety and well being.
- Employs a nurturing attitude toward children, ensuring availability while on duty.
- Performs all duties in compliance with standard operating procedures, policies, and licensing requirements.
- Identifies individual behavior problems and needs of children and prepares daily report on each child to Director, Assistant Director or HSP.
- Maintains the facility in a neat and orderly manner.
- Identifies and reports needed repairs for facility to Director of Assistant Director.
- Administers acceptable disciplinary procedure as outlined in policy and procedures.
- Attends staff meetings and training as required.
- Performs duties within licensing requirements and Kids World Learning Center policy and procedure.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by the Director or Leadership Team
Salary : $8 - $10
