Warehouse Lead Associate
6AM - 2PM (Mon-Fri.)
Essential Job Functions
- Prepare daily shipments for efficient shipping
- Prepare Bill of Lading
- Check items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities, destination, and routing are correct.
- Receive and unload incoming materials and compare information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment; may process return shipments from customers
- Sort, count, package, label, post in SAP inventory which is shipped or received
- Inspect shipments for damages or defects; record discrepancies or damages and notify supervisor and/or purchasing personnel.
- Trace lost shipments and/or customer claims of lost shipments; initiate proof of delivery documents
- Maintain department database, prepare routine reports, and file shipping/receiving records
- Ability to operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading supplies and equipment.
- Ability to operate shrink wrap machine.
- Assist in routine maintenance of equipment and shipping area.
- Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety environmental, and/or set control standards.
- Leads, guides, and trains employees performing related work.
- Maintains Housekeeping and Inspection Records
- Ability to have a flexible work schedule including longer hours during peak season.
- Report any issues and/or concerns to Manager in a timely manner.
- Contribute to department and organization special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
- Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a warehouse environment.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Must be proficient in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- SAP required
- Strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated people skills and passion for leading in a team environment.
- Excellent written/verbal communications and strong analytical/problem solving skills.
- Bilingual in Spanish a preferred
- Lean and/or Six Sigma experience a plus
- Forklift certified
The expected pay range for this role is $17.60-$26.40/hour. This position is bonus eligible.
