Kilgore Industries, one of the largest Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing subcontractors in the state of Texas is growing. The key to this growth is having the best team in the industry! We are looking for an experienced Forman who is looking to grow with the industry leader. The Foreman is responsible for the preparation and installation of plumbing piping systems. Additionally, the Foreman ensures the team works in a clean and working together environment.
PRIMARY DUTIES:

- Prepares material take-offs, layout appropriate systems, and makes isometric and schematic sketches from blueprints, specifications, submittals, and job orders, as needed.
- Participates in job planning for work packages by establishing and adjusting work sequences to meet construction schedules utilizing knowledge of equipment/tools and assigned personnel.
- Leads, coaches, and mentors craft workers (plumbing trade). Schedules and coordinates activities of assigned craft workers and operation of equipment and machinery. Verifies that Partners have the necessary certifications. Conducts timely, complete, and meaningful performance management conversations.
- Inspects work in progress and completed work to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Eliminates construction and job site hazards as they are recognized to reduce safety incidents and their severity. Performs all required safety observations and conducts toolbox meetings.
- Coordinates placement and storage of materials, tools, and supplies to support the construction plan.
- Verifies that delivered materials and equipment match approved submittals.
- Operates and supervises the operation of equipment and machinery such as backhoes, forklifts, man lifts, power tools, and tampers. Works with tools to meet construction schedules or other demands as needed.
- Identifies conflicts or needs for clarification in contract documents.
- Understanding of project budgets.
- Performs other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Current Texas Journeyman card is strongly preferred
- 2 years of recent commercial plumbing construction experience in a Foreman role
- Must be a good communicator, verbal and written
- Must be self-motivated, hardworking, and reliable
- Must have general knowledge of plumbing systems and the desire to advance
- Background record, physical, and drug screen required
- Able to work in fast-paced environments and accomplish tasks in a timely manner
- Ability to regularly lift 25 pounds
- Works well in a team environment
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
