SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for production engineering, operations, and asset management within a fast-growing company. The Senior Production Engineer will work closely with other departments in relation to field operations, track well performance and continually optimize production
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Operations engineer who can implement projects from the field
- This person knows compressors and pipelines, artificial lift and pumps of all types and understands facility volume throughput requirements and has the ability to design and layout tanks, separators, heaters, etc. as required.
- This person should also have the ability to troubleshoot problems in the field and apply cost-effective solutions.
- This person should have been exposed to or have experience in drilling, workover and completion operations.
- Prepare and review equipment and service bids to make recommendations for selection
- Plan and generate procedures for all operations and well intervention work
- Plan service company involvement and personnel requirements
- Troubleshoot any operational or production issues
- Rack costs for all jobs and provide technical and cost assessment reviews if necessary
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering required
- 7 years of experience as a production engineer with hands-on experience in the field, preferably with experience in the Eagle Ford Shale and South Texas conventional assets
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn various other computer applications
- Demonstrated knowledge in evaluating and selecting appropriate equipment to achieve objectives
- Ability to work as an individual contributor in a team environment
- Excellent organizational, reasoning and communication skills
- Desire to be a self-starter and motivated to complete tasks
- Ability to work effectively with multi-disciplinary professionals and individuals at all levels throughout the company
