As we continue to grow, Kimbro Oil Company is seeking a dedicated Human Resources Generalist to support the daily operations of our HR department. The ideal candidate is highly organized, dependable, and well-versed in a wide range of HR functions. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of all HR files and records.
- Ensure all employee documentation is complete, accurate, and up-to-date.
- Maintain compliance with DOL, FMLA, FLSA, EEOC, DOT, and FMCSA regulations.
- Assist in developing job descriptions and performance evaluation tools.
- Support recruiting efforts, including scheduling pre-employment screenings, background checks, and new hire orientation.
- Respond to employee and applicant inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and procedures; escalate more complex issues as needed.
- Conduct routine audits of HR files to ensure compliance and completeness.
- Support implementation and optimization of the Human Capital Management (HCM) system.
- Provide administrative support to HR and Payroll functions.
- Help coordinate employee events, such as benefits enrollment, company-wide meetings, and recognition celebrations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage confidential matters with discretion and professionalism.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and able to learn HRIS and payroll systems quickly.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of prior experience in a human resources role is required.
- SHRM certification preferred or in progress.
- Experience in DOT/FMCSA-regulated environments is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
