Billing Specialist

We currently have a GREAT OPPORTUNITY for a BILLING SPECIALIST to work at our headquarters in Pella. This position is a full-time, hourly position with an expected 40 hours per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reviewing and posting charges provided for physical and occupational therapy services
- Posting payments to client accounts
- Reconciling deposits
- Working with the Billing Team to maintain accurate client accounts
- Assisting other back-office personnel as needed; this role reports to the Billing and Office Manager
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 1 year experience in an office environment
- Minimum of 1 year experience in billing, accounts receivable, and/or medical claims
- Knowledge of insurance claims to determine patient financial responsibility
- Experience with medical coding
- Proficient in reconciliation of data
- Experience in customer service communication
- Experience with EMR software, Outlook, Excel and Microsoft Office
Training is provided for this position and candidates who do not meet the preferred requirements will be considered if able and willing to learn.
Job type: Full-time, hourly, in-office
Pay range: $15 - $17 per hour, based on experience
