King Company, CPAs is a full service public accounting firm founded in 1981. We are family owned and operated with a history of low turnover. We provide bookkeeping, compiled financials, payroll services, sales tax, and income tax preparation to a variety of small businesses.
Our firm is looking for a talented and hard-working Bookkeeper who is significantly experienced in QuickBooks (Desktop and Online) and can provide financial support to a variety of clients in different industries. The ideal candidate will be able to manage monthly activity, prepare bank reconciliations, and provide financial statement preparation and analysis.
A strong understanding of accounting foundational knowledge is required for month end adjusting journal entries, accruals, tax adjustments, payroll adjustments, etc.
This position will also be responsible for processing payroll for the clients as well as preparing and filings all payroll tax filings and tax deposits.
Task/Responsibilities:
*Manage all aspects of general ledger accounting
*Creating Companies and Chart of Accounts
*Record all Bank and Credit Card Transactions
*Post Journal Entries and set up Memorized Transaction List
*Process bank account reviews and reconciliations
*Prepare monthly financial statements
*End of Month and Year End close routine
*Process Payroll in QuickBooks
*Prepare quarterly and annual payroll tax returns - 941, 940, SUI, W2 & W3
*Review payroll tax payments and filings
* Preparation of sales and use tax returns
*Proficient use of QuickBooks Desktop & QuickBooks Online
*All other duties that may be assigned from time-to-time by firm management
*Ensure the confidentiality and security of all financial records
Key Requirements and Qualifications:
*Preferred associate accounting degree or equivalent experience.
*Experience working with a CPA firm/Public accounting is a plus.
*Professional presentation and conduct are required.
*High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
*Must be responsible and have excellent follow-up and tracking skills.
*Minimum 2 years’ experience in QuickBooks is required.
* Willingness to learn all aspects of public accounting including tax return preparation, business consulting and financial statements analysis.
*Salary will be based on experience.
*Background check required before hire.
